S.O.S. comes from the classroom, the operator's desk, and the field. The concept began with two decades of teaching; around it, a partnership of builders, operators, and connectors who turn hard problems into working products. We label what's proven and what's still ahead, because in a tool built around student privacy, integrity is the whole point.

Anthony Abruscato is an accomplished educator, technology innovator, artist, and creative leader with more than 20 years of experience in education and the arts.
A New York State certified K-12 Art Educator, Anthony dedicated over 20 years to public education, including 15 years as a tenured art teacher at Westbury High School. Throughout his career, he taught a diverse range of courses including Studio Art, Drawing and Painting, Ceramics, Photography, Digital Photography, Pre-AP Art, and Advanced Placement Art. His commitment to student achievement helped cultivate artistic excellence while preparing students for higher education and professional creative careers.
Beyond the classroom, Anthony served as the school's Audio/Visual Coordinator for 15 years, overseeing the technical production and multimedia support for countless school events, performances, presentations, and district initiatives. Recognizing the growing importance of technology in education, he founded and directed the S.W.A.T. Program (Students of Westbury Advancing Technology), an innovative student leadership initiative designed to develop technical skills, foster digital literacy, and provide technology support throughout the school community.
Anthony's passion for innovation extends beyond education. He is the creator of the S.O.S. (Scholastic Operating System) concept, a technology platform designed to modernize device management, network governance, and digital engagement within educational environments. His work reflects a long-standing commitment to finding practical solutions that bridge the gap between technology, education, and student success.
As a professional artist operating under Art By Scotto, Anthony has built a reputation for creating large-scale murals, commercial artwork, custom illustrations, digital media, and fine art commissions. His work combines traditional artistic foundations with modern digital techniques, allowing him to create impactful visual experiences for businesses, organizations, and private collectors. His portfolio spans photorealistic paintings, public art installations, graphic design, branding concepts, and digital illustration.
Anthony holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from C.W. Post, advanced studies in Commercial Art from Nassau Community College and Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology, as well as a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies from Queens College with concentrations in Philosophy and History.
Throughout his career, Anthony has remained dedicated to empowering others through creativity, education, technology, and innovation. Whether mentoring students, leading technology initiatives, developing educational solutions, or creating public art, he brings a unique blend of artistic vision, technical expertise, and leadership to every endeavor.

Shane Giordano is a seasoned operator, entrepreneur, and strategic builder with more than 35 years of experience across automotive retail, advertising, large-scale event production, digital strategy, and AI-era venture development. A former Dealer Principal and longtime business operator, Shane has built his career translating ambitious ideas into structured, market-ready businesses.
Shane serves as a minority partner, CMO, and COO of S.O.S., the Scholastic Operating System, where he joined founder Anthony Abruscato approximately one year ago to help bring the concept from vision to reality. In this role, Shane has helped shape the company's operational structure, product direction, grant positioning, go-to-market strategy, and commercialization roadmap. He also contributed directly to the app's development, helping transform S.O.S. into a working, demonstrable MVP designed for K-12 districts.
S.O.S. addresses one of the most urgent challenges facing schools today: personal smartphones as a persistent classroom distraction. Unlike pouches, lockers, separate school-issued devices, or invasive enterprise surveillance tools, S.O.S. creates a privacy-first school-session governance system that works on the device students already own. The platform helps schools manage access during class while returning the phone to a fully private personal device when the school session ends.
Shane's role bridges strategy, execution, product development, and market communication. He has helped translate the platform's technical promise into a clear and credible market narrative: reducing classroom distraction while preserving student privacy, parent trust, and administrative accountability. He has also supported the company's federal SBIR grant strategy, positioning S.O.S. as a non-dilutive R&D funding candidate aligned with educational innovation, student wellbeing, and privacy-by-design technology.
Working alongside Anthony Abruscato, whose experience as a former K-12 public-school teacher grounds the product in real classroom needs, Shane brings complementary strength as an operator, marketer, and builder. His leadership approach combines entrepreneurial discipline, practical execution, and purpose-driven strategy.
Through his consulting practice, Omniscient, Shane also advises companies on business strategy, positioning, and intelligent systems adoption. Across his work, he is focused on building ventures that are not only commercially viable, but socially meaningful: technology designed with clarity, restraint, and human trust at the center.
